A PUF roof panel on a pre-engineered building replaces the bare metal roofing sheet with an insulated one: two steel sheets with rigid foam bonded between them, fixed to the purlins like a sheet. For a PEB shed the usual choice is 30 mm or 50 mm. On 23 September 2026 the 50 mm roof panel with 0.5 / 0.3 mm sheets was ₹ 1,269 per sqm and the 30 mm ₹ 1,111 per sqm, for orders of 3,000 sqm and above, ex-factory Kathua, GST and freight extra (factory prices on 23 Sep 2026). PUF roof panel profile: what the ribs do
The top sheet of our roof panel is formed with six ridges across its 1.00 m chargeable width, each with a 30 mm crest. The ridges stiffen the sheet across the span between purlins, and they carry water down the slope the way the ribs on a plain roofing sheet do. The underside sheet is flat and forms the ceiling.
Because the panel is stiff in its own right, it behaves on a PEB frame as an insulated roofing sheet: laid up the slope, lapped at the ridges, fixed through the crest to the purlin.

Both share the same sheets, core density, profile, coating and colour. Only the foam depth differs, and with it the insulation, the stiffness and the price.

The designer sets the thickness from the building’s use and the span. What the contractor can see from the table is the cost of the step: ₹ 158 per sqm from 30 to 50 mm at the 3,000 sqm slab that day, and about 370 sqm fewer per truck.

Overhangs and ridge detail from the drawing add to the 1,500 sqm; one panel over the line and the order is still at the 1,500 sqm slab, because the whole quantity bills at the slab it reaches.
Freight for a roof order
Freight is charged per truck, on actuals, from Kathua, and billed separately. Fares to fourteen hub cities for a 32 ft container truck are on the price board with their date; other destinations are priced per truck at booking. Panels are cut to the buyer’s lengths, so the truck count follows the lengths on the drawing.
Buying terms in one paragraph
The rate is ex-factory Kathua, the panel cut to length, packed and loaded at the gate. GST and freight are extra. A slab applies to one panel type in one order; 30 mm and 50 mm are two panel types. Panels are made to order and full payment books the production slot. The earliest production date shown on each panel is a planned start, not a delivery promise.

Which PUF roof panel thickness for a PEB warehouse?
The designer sets it from the building’s use and span. Our roof panels were offered in 30, 50, 80 and 100 mm on 25 Sep 2026; 30 and 50 mm are the usual shed choices, 80 and 100 mm the cold-store choices.
Can the PUF roof panel be cut to my purlin layout?
Length is cut to order, to the buyer’s drawing. Purlin spacing and fixing details are the designer’s; they are not on our product page.
